Minnesota Institute of Art 26th Annual Print and Drawing Fair

Print fairs are massive enterprises and always fun to take part in.  This past week Flatbed was honored to be invited to be part of the select dealers showing work at the Minneapolis Institute of Art's 26th Annual Print and Drawing Fair.  We were proud be represent our artists to the knowledgeable of print loving community of Minneapolis!  It is by far our favorite print fair and we love working with the supportive curators in the M.I.A.

Being a part of the fair, we get to know many of the dealers who are dedicated to showing and selling fine prints both in the USA and abroad.  Crown Point Press and Paulson Fontaine Press were the other two presses invited this year. We got to talk a little shop and enjoyed seeing their new work.  Among the galleries represented were Mary Ryan Gallery, Flowers Gallery, C.G. Boerner and Mireille Mosier of New York.  Jerald Melberg Gallery of Charlotte, North Carolina, Armstrong Art of Chicago, William P. Carl Fine Prints, Durham North Carolina, Thomas French Fine Art, Fairlawn, Ohio also brought their deep inventory of prints.  A new dealer and wonderful find for us was Galerie Myrtis out of Baltimore, Maryland who represents Delita Martin from Houston, Texas.  We were blown away by Delita's work of large scale monoprints.

We were able to bring our newest publications including the Michael Ray Charles "Every World Is A Head, Every Head Is A World" and the new etchings series "Rio Grande Suite" by Suzi Davidoff and John Robert Craft's "CMY Suites" as well as a wide selection of prints from our inventory of work.
