Flatbed Press has long welcomed sculptors into the collaborative environment of the print studio, where ideas rooted in three-dimensional form find new expression on the printed plane. These collaborations reveal printmaking not simply as a means of reproduction, but as a medium of discovery—one in which sculptural thinking is translated through line, texture, pressure, layering, and the physical act of making an impression.
The Sculptor’s Imprint Part III continues the exploration through the work of five distinguested artists whose sculptural practices span monumentality, intimacy, narrative and poetic observation.
Flatbed pauses to celebrate the artists and their works created at Flatbed during 2027. Over fifty editions and monotype series were printed by fourteen artists: Hollis Hammonds, Darden Smith, Ken Hale, Kevin Whitley, James Drake, Sandra Fernandez, Beverly Penn, Selina Wagner, Agnes Crowley, Erin Miller, Luis Guiterrez, Joey Fauerso, Bale Allen and Lance Letscher.
