FLATBED COMMUNITY SHOP

Community Shop

A fully equipped, 1500 square foot studio designed for artists with a printmaking practice. Our Community Shop creates a space for a vibrant community of artist/printmakers.  We support their practice by providing space, equipment, and mentoring.  Flatbed is moving to create a studio using environmentally friendly methods and will be incorporating green studio practices.  There are several levels of memberships available including a supporting membership with the benefit of workshop and class discounts.

Joining the Community

To join the community shop you must apply and give a brief statement about your studio practice. We would like to know about the studios you have worked in and what experience you have had. We’d also like to see some of the work you have created using printmaking techniques. If you do not have a lot of experience, you may want to take a master class with us to see if the membership will be a good fit for your practice. All members will be required to participate in a shop orientation and be certified for using the equipment.  This is a one time fee of $150 due at time of orientation.

If you want more information or have questions email us at info@flatbedpress.com. You are welcome to tour the Community Press during gallery hours. Please make an appointment to help us plan for your visit: TOUR FLATBED
