Let Me Introduce You to Monotype

Dates: Saturday - July 17 (One day workshop)
Time:  10 am - 5 pm

Cost: $165 ($150 for members) includes a $15 materials fee

Instructor:  Alex Giffen, Master Printer

Class is limited to five participants

Materials include including six sheets of 15 x 11" Rives BFK printmaking paper. More paper available for purchase or you may bring your own.

One action-packed day of learning the methods and visual vocabulary of making a monotype.  Monotypes are perfect for artists who love to draw or paint.  There are many techniques and we'll try many which will include trace monotype, subtractive techniques, additive techniques, ghosting, layering, stencils, and more.  At the end of the day, you'll have finished prints and lots of ideas of how to use your newfound techniques.  A follow-up workshop teaching advanced use of color and monotypes will be held on July 24.  

We will comply with CDC regulations during the workshop. (Picture below is pre-covid!) This workshop is limited to a small group of five.
