Alex Giffen, Master Printer at Flatbed, loves to teach monotype by “building” an image with line and texture. Materials such as cut paper, fabrics, lace, ribbon, threads, or any other textured flat materials can be used in this two-day workshop. If you are an artist who enjoys the process of creating by assembling and layering, this is would be a perfect way to expand your artistic practice!

Participants will work with various textured textiles and become skilled at rolling flats, thinking in layers, and working on honing their vision. By the end of this workshop, each student will have created 2-4 22x30 monoprints.
