Let's Get Rolling! - Introduction to Linocut Printmaking with Alfonso Huerta

Materials include a 4 x 6-inch linoleum block, ink, and printing papers.

Optional other materials to bring:  Carving tools.  See the class outline. Some tools are available for use in class.

Instructor: Alfonso Huerta

In this intensive workshop, Alfonso Huerta will demonstrate the fundamentals of designing a linocut, transferring your image to the wood or linoleum, carving techniques, and how to print your linocut or woodcut on manual printing presses. The first day is devoted to the carving of your image, and the second day explores print processes and variations. You will leave with a small suite of your prints and your relief that you can continue to print at home! 

This class is designed for beginners.  The class is limited to six people, and CDC regulations are followed.
