Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking - Community Press Studio
Flatbed presents its first annual Community Press membership exhibition “Under Pressure.” Despite Covid-19, the Flatbed Community Press membership has been growing and the members creating work during the pandemic as safely as possible. Opening August 21, “Under Pressure” includes work by: Katherine Brimberry, Belinda Casey, Alex Giffen, Caragh Givens, Nell Gottlieb, Mike Hart, Kyle Hawley, Alfonso Huerta, Judith Long, Matthew Magruder, Gabrielle Miceli, Peter Nickel, Maryellen Quarles, Emily Weiskopf and Jill Wilkinison.
The work from the members ranges in scale and technique. Flatbed’s Community Press offers members the ability to work in intaglio, lithographic, relief, screen printing, and monotype techniques. Members can also create intaglio work using the recent direct to plate polymer gravure technique. Annual and monthly memberships are open to artists with printmaking experience.
