Matt Magee's "Sliver"
Matt Magee is an American contemporary artist whose printmaking practice continues his interest in minimal abstract geometric forms. Magee was the 2017 Arlene and Mort Scult Award winner, the 2007 Josef and Anni Albers Foundation resident fellow, and winner of the Board of Trustees Award from the Silvermine Arts Center. He was also a 1991 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant recipient. His work has been exhibited worldwide. We are pleased and excited to be able to publish "Sliver" with Magee!

Best known for his minimal abstract geometric paintings, sculptures and prints, his work explores language symbolically with an emphasis on repetition and nods to art historical precedents. Magee created “Sliver” as a minimal image that plays with the optical dominance of color and shape.
